Community Nurses

Provide skilled nursing care for patients who are house bound or recently discharged from Hospital.

Treatment Room Nurse

Mrs Julie Moore provides efficient and professional nursing care including dressing, suture removal, blood pressure monitoring and general advice.

Practice Nurse

Mrs Donna Cunningham aims to provide an efficient and quality service. This comprehensive service includes monitoring chronic disease processes,  Cervical Screening, contraceptive/HRT pill checks and vaccination programmes. 

Reception Staff

Pat, Sandra, Jane, Pamela, Coral, Stephanie, Debbie, David, Abigail and Michelle.

Phlebotomist

Karolina is available for taking blood at the morning surgery. You must book an appointment to have a blood test. 

Health Visitors

Visit all families with children under 5 years of age. They provide information, advice and support to all age groups, particularly at times of physical or emotional stress.

Community Midwives

Work with the doctors to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care for the baby during the first ten days of life. The midwife no longer works from the surgery, clinics are now all hospital based. 

Nurse Practitioner

Miss Adele Cochrane is our Nurse Practitioner who provides advice and medical expertise including treatment of minor ailments, women’s health issues, management of chronic conditions including diabetes and coronary heart disease. They are able to prescribe independently of doctors.

Practice Pharmacist

Mr Brian Connolly and Mrs Heather Smith are our practice pharmacy team. They are very experienced and can use their clinical skills to manage patients, review medications and deal with most queries regarding medication .

Social Services

Social Services help with all kinds of social problems.

Any of the above services can be contacted through the Surgery Receptionist. Moira Surgery has suitable access for disabled patients.

If you have had confirmation that you can register with the surgery you may print your own forms to complete at home by using the following:-

If your records are with a GP surgery within the UK use an HS 200 Form HS200 to register when your records are held with a UK GP Surgery

If you do not currently have a GP in the UK then you must use an SCR1 form HSCR1 for those registering from outside of the UK
